Things people ask us
A real conversation, more or less. If you've got a question that isn't here, just send it over.
How would you describe your style?
Documentary. I don't direct, I don't pose, and I don't bring lights to the ceremony. I want your photos to look like the day actually felt — not like a Pinterest board.
What does a wedding package cost?
Wedding coverage starts at $5,800 for eight hours, single shooter, and a full gallery. Most couples land somewhere between $6,500 and $9,000 depending on second-shooter and album options. I'll send a full price sheet when you inquire.
How many weddings do you take a year?
Eighteen, on purpose. I cap it there so I can show up rested, edit each gallery personally, and actually answer your emails the same week. Most weekends are booked 9–12 months out.
Do you shoot outside Portland?
Yes — anywhere in Oregon and southern Washington with no travel fee. I've shot in the Gorge, on the coast, up at Hood and the Sisters, and out in the Willamette wine country. Farther afield, just ask.
How long until we see the photos?
You'll get a sneak-peek gallery within a week, and the full gallery within eight weeks. I edit everything myself — no outsourced retouching — so the look stays consistent across the set.
Do you have a second shooter?
I bring one in for guest counts over 60 or any wedding where the ceremony and reception are at separate venues. The second shooter is someone I've worked with for years, not a stranger from a list.
Can we get the RAW files?
No, but you get every keeper from the day — usually 600–900 fully-edited high-resolution images, plus a personal printing license. The unedited frames stay with me.
How do we book?
Send an inquiry through the contact page with your date, venue, and a few words about what matters to you. If the date's open, I'll set up a 30-minute call. A signed agreement and 25% retainer hold the date.
